I have turned to Thucydides (albeit relatively superficially since translating his gorgeous Greek in college) repeatedly over the years. As a failed academic, I lament the dearth/death of classical studies. For it is there to explain today.

Amazing. Almost hard to believe for how accurately it depicts our current situation, only if and for the ones not in the hive mind.

Thucydides for real? (I'm illiterate as far as Greek classics)

Loved the bit on how the most uneducated have a marked advantage, higher chances of survival.. Regularly corroborate that. Recently was stunned reading a post by the author who wrote the book on William Cooper and his book Behold a Pale Horse, a pic of the Georgia Guidestones with a caption expressing how bummed he was that some 'God Addled, Talibanista conspiracist' moron destroyed them. He called rhem a cool piece of mistery folk art. Couldn't believe that of all the things being destroyed this guy was bummed about that! Was seething. Fact that he wrote the book on Bill Cooper and his book made my disappointment greater. 😳🙏
