I write from Chile, have a reminiscence of mi early college years when with some friends went to a gay party in Puerto Montt and the trans show was so glamorous (perhaps like the vedette’s of pin up days and can can and so on...). I felt an atmosphere of disinhibition and excitement that amazed me as opposed to any straight disco or club, rather dull in communication (subliminal) protocols... and the trans Diva was so gorgeous I felt like womanhood was doing a strange twist... Besides the raconto that is nutritious to this anxiety years... I felt/thought as if this “trans-trend” has somewhat made this pseudo anti-hero idol for post-modern culture... grasping this reflection still, but in a way, the implantation of this phenotype as natural to culture but totally contradictory to life, another self destructive idol, and there it is a hidden motive besides what you’re saying which I find lucid and suggestive...
