My God... that was tough, yet you took us to such a profound moment... You have presented the abyss in all its unfathomable depth, evil in all its shameful absurdity, and the lack, the contradiction, the duality, the miracle of the Other.

Cummings poem was truly moving beyond the words creating it.

Thanks a lot. No, I think the only way to get through this and beyond is to just drop the blinkers, as painful as it may be, and face the fact that so much has been lost. The paradoxical lines by Chesterton are spot on:

I tell you naught for your comfort

Yea, naught for your desire

Save that the sky grows darker yet

And the sea rises higher.

I included some of this post in my soon-to-be-taken-down Substack. Thanks.

Complete human stain wanting Gonzalo's parents to squirm, and those wanting to spit on the grave of Gonzalo Lira, may you have chop chop chop to your vocal cords and jugulars.

Thanks yourself. Why take it down?

About a hundred journalists murdered in Gaza. Gonzalo Lira's fate is truly sickening. And mention it in polite company, everyone points out how he wasn't a "real journalist", but nothing but a Nazi youtuber.

I'm not taking my stuff down, but the curious corrupt censors and cutters have their sights on Substack. The app is already in the hopper ... An AI run scrubber running through 100 million posts everywhere don't you know.

No, was only aware of Substack being targeted in some sense. Please tell me more.

Meditation 13

Accept disgrace willingly.

Accept misfortune as the human condition.

What do you mean by “Accept disgrace willingly?”

Accept being unimportant.

Do not be concerned with loss or gain.

This is called “accepting disgrace willingly.”

What do you mean by “Accept misfortune as the human condition?”

Misfortune comes from having a body.

Without a body, how could there be misfortune?

Surrender yourself humbly; then you can be trusted to care for all things.

Love the world as your own body; then you can truly care for all things.

Peace.

Of course who will read this? Those who already see things this way. The rest will object, it seems to me. I haven’t figured out why, or what, happened. A minor objection myself: you mentioned that we *can* talk about the patriarchy (I know, you said it’s beside the point), but really we can’t any more. The number and prominence of women architecting, driving, promoting every one of the absolute horrors of the last 20-30 years pitches that whole discourse into the burn hole. While again, it doesn’t matter because nobody’s listening anyway and they’re all marching themselves and everyone else into the burn hole, righteously! The unsolvable mystery I can’t describe. I can only report it: https://whileican.substack.com/p/righteously-marching-into-the-burn
